<넉 점 반 Half Past Four>

벽걸이 시계가 귀했던 60년대 어느 시골 마을. 빨강색 치마를 입은 6살 여자 아이가 동네 구멍가게에 시간을 물으러 간다. 그런데 아이는 집으로 곧장 돌아오지 않고 동네 곳곳에 펼쳐진 동물과 식물들에게 마음을 빼앗긴다. 아이가 집에 도착했을 때는 이미 해가 지고 어둑해졌다.

본 작품은 한국 아동문학의 거장 윤석중 선생의 동시 <넉 점 반>(1940)을 그림책으로 표현한 이영경 작가의 <넉 점 반>(2004)을 원작으로 한다. 단편 애니메이션 <넉 점 반>은 우리 안에 잃어버린 동심을 나누는 즐거움이자, 자연과 인간이 하나로 살았던 시절에 대한 향수이다.

A rural village in South Korea in the 1960s when wall clocks were rare. A 6-year-old girl with a red skirt goes to the village store to ask the time. However, the child does not return home immediately and is fascinated by the animals and plants of the neighborhood. When the child arrived home, the sun had already set and darkened.

This work is based on a picture book <Half Past Four>(2004) by Lee Young-kyoung, who expressed the simultaneous <Half Past Four>(1940) of Yoon Seok-joong, a master of Korean children’s literature. This short animation <Half Past Four> gives us the pleasure of sharing the lost innocence in us, and at the same time conveys nostalgia for the days when humans and nature lived as one.
